Every AI Strategy Needs a North Star

Nigeria has 13,625MW of installed power generation and about 4,286MW available. Strategy documents often celebrate the first number, while progress depends on the second.

In Leadership Newspapers, I argue that Nigeria's National AI Strategy needs a measurable baseline for compute, energy, talent and adoption, ideally tracked through a national AI dashboard. Because the goal is not simply to have a strategy. It is to build the system that tells us whether it's working.
